USA: Is Trump revolutionizing the right to nationality?

When it comes to acquiring nationality, the great majority of countries essentially apply the principle of jus sanguinis (right of blood) [1], whereby children are assigned the nationality of their parents, whatever their place of birth. The USA, however, based its right to nationality on a different principle, jus soli (right of soil), each person born in the USA acquiring the country’s nationality at birth. Is President Donald Trump about to modify this principle during his second term of office?
