Heritage diversity and territorial development in France

France is a country with a rich heritage: buildings with outstanding architecture, historic districts, cities full of art and history, and remarkable small towns, villages and landscapes. Relevant territorial development policies, often at the behest of local people, who then drive them, are indispensable for conservation and value maximization. However, they must be based on choices, notably to ensure a level playing field for all territories.
